It was all one color it was all

my face and the planets

in twin time—

I asked nothing of him, I collected

my things

The whole top half

of the body is missing from the picture

I drew of the world

because it is implied

And anyway, you use your legs

to climb

There are such surfaces

as the tub

that confound the language of art

and its vanishing points

I sit there with you and consider

my secret
