It was all one color it was all
curvilinear
my face and the planets
in twin time—
I asked nothing of him, I collected
my things

The whole top half
of the body is missing from the picture
I drew of the world
because it is implied
And anyway, you use your legs
to climb

There are such surfaces
as the tub
that confound the language of art
and its vanishing points
I sit there with you and consider
my secret
